We want to thank all the wonderful people who would like to help.

At this time, we are only recruiting volunteers for special projects.

If you wish to volunteer – please fill out the volunteer application. We will email you if there is a project in the works.

Hoping for a better 2021- thank you for all of your help in 2020!

Important CASC Updates re: Corona Virus Actions

  • The Senior Center is closed to the public indefinitely due to COVID 19. We will rely on the City of Charleston and the CDC  guidelines to determine when it is safe to re-open the facility to the public.
  • Our emergency food pantry is still open Tuesday and Wednesday 1-3:00pm.  We are in need of food donations to replenish our pantry since the need will be growing as people are out of work.
  • Meals on Wheels is running as normal.  Donations to purchase extra meals are appreciated.
  • We have limited volunteers to those that are already in place at this time to protect our staff who are all over 60.

To Our Community and Friends:

As we head into 2021 with COVID still affecting all of our daily lives- I would like to take a moment and thank each of you who have volunteered, donated money and food during 2020. Our clients received such wonderful love and attention from volunteers- we are so blessed by your generosity!

We have been working on plans for 2021 and how to continue to utilize volunteers while remaining safe.

To that end, we have built several new volunteer routes. Volunteers will be asked to complete a Zoom training and be willing to commit to one day a week.  The hours for this opportunity are 9;30am- Noon.  Routes take about 2-3 hours total.  Food can be picked up from our downtown location or our North Charleston site at Azalea Drive Church of Christ.

The other volunteer opportunity is delivering monthly food boxes to seniors on our Meals on Wheels routes that need additional food or household items.

If you are interested in either of these opportunities- please email me directly.

Thank you again for your support!

Meals on Wheels Charleston

DELIVERING SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST A MEAL.

See MOW on FB

We are guided by a single goal – to support our senior neighbors to extend their independence and health as they age.

That goal also extends to the dozens of volunteers who work with us. From the kind people who deliver the meals and meet with our clients, to the dedicated cooks in our kitchen—we are all one caring community.

Meals on Wheels of Charleston is a community-based program designed specifically to meet the nutritional and social needs of seniors.
